Security, Reliability and Availability

We believe that you need to be able to trust a cloud service before you can rely it with your business information. Security, reliability and availability are some of the most important requirements for Swifting. This page contains technical information about how those requirements are met by Swifting.

Security

All traffic between the client web browser and the server, that contains your business data, is encrypted using a Thawte certificate. Your business data is also stored encrypted on the server protected by a unique password for every customer. Backups are encrypted in the same way.

Your business information is safe with us and we guarantee that we will not decrypt and use your business data without your permission. We do however collect statistics about the number of service called made towards the server to monitor traffic load.

Reliability

Backups are performed in several layers to guarantee that a minimum of information is lost in the case of a service failure:

  1. All updating service calls are logged when they arrive at the server. Data can be restored by loading the stored commands back into the server in case of data loss.
  2. Client business data is backed up on the server drive every 10 minutes.
  3. The entire server drive is backed up every night and can be restored in case of a server disaster.

As if the three layers of backup above is not enough we have two additional backup routines:

  1. The entire server is cloned every month. A cloned server can replace an existing server within minutes.
  2. A separate online backup system performs a backup of the business data every day.

Feel free to contact us if you need further information about security or backup.
