Reading, posting and replying to messages

Post to all

Swifting blog is used to post messages. The messages show up in your feed and are grouped into conversations. To post a message to all members of your Swifting account:

  1. Type the message
  2. Press ”Update”

TBD - What is a feed?

Post to a channel:

  1. Type the message
  2. Press the ”My Channels” drop down and select which group you want to post to.
  3. Press "Update"

It is free to organize the type of channels you want to have or how many. Channels might for example be projects, sub-projects, special skills or competence (for example writers, if you are working on a publication).

Send a private message

Sometime you want to send a message only to one specific user. This is accomplished by starting a new message with ”to:” followed by the users Swifting name. For example when you wan to send a private message to Bert:

  1. Type ”to: Bert This is the message” TBD

Ska man inte kunna välja en enstaka användare från en lista?

Reply to a message

  1. Click ”Reply” under the message and a reply box will appear. You can do replies to replies in the same way. Replies are indented one level under the original message.
  2. Type your message
  3. Press "Update"

Delete a message

In some rare cases, messages might have to be deleted. This can only be performed by a Swifting account administrator (?) TBD, who will have a ”Delete” button under the messages. If a message is deleted, all replies to that message are deleted too.

  1. Select the message you want to delete
  2. Press "Delete"
